George is a highly experienced IP practitioner, having commenced his career in the intellectual property profession in 1984 after graduating with Honours in Genetics from the University of New South Wales. With over 40 years’ experience, he has developed a strong reputation for clear, practical advice across patents, trade marks and designs.
After spending three decades at another IP firm – including time working with several of our current team members – George co-founded Acrogon IP, where he focused on delivering more personalised, client-focused services. In July 2025, George chose to bring that approach to IP Solved, joining our team and transferring his established client base across to the firm.
George advises on patent, design and trade mark matters, and will primarily be assisting his long-standing clients as they transition to IP Solved. His depth of experience enables him to manage complex prosecution and advisory work with ease, while maintaining a strong commercial focus tailored to each client’s needs.
In addition to his practice, George is a long-standing lecturer in the Master of Intellectual Property program at UTS, where he teaches the advanced subject “Drafting of Patent Specifications”. With his extensive technical and legal background, and his commitment to client service, George strengthens our patent, trade mark and design capability and supports the continued growth of IP Solved’s offering both in Australia and internationally.
