Nicholas (Nick) is a registered patent attorney with deep experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and strategic intellectual property advice. His practice spans patentability assessments, infringement risk analysis, litigation support, and the registration and prosecution of designs in both Australia and New Zealand. Nick’s technical qualifications are primarily in the chemical, mechanical, and mining/metallurgical sectors, and he brings technical depth in areas such as pharmaceuticals, pneumatics, oil and gas engineering, and medical devices. He also advises on technologies involving spectroscopy, optics, structural engineering, and basic electrical systems.
Through his career, Nick has developed broad IP experience across diverse industries, and is known for his strong insight, helping clients protect and leverage their innovations across a broad spectrum of scientific and engineering disciplines.
Nick is known for his detail-oriented approach, both in his role as IP advisor, as well as in his other role as a key leader involved in the implementation, management, and ongoing optimisation of the firm’s IP docketing system. This includes overseeing system setup and configuration, ensuring accurate data migration, and tailoring workflows to meet the needs of the firm’s practice.
